The NovaCor Wall System is comprised of galvanized steel and Fire Protection Insulation (FPI).
This product is specifically designed to be used for partition walls, providing a faster, lighter and more cost-effective solution than traditional construction methods. Additionally, this panel provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.
The panels are composed of an FPI slab available in several densities (18 Kg/m3, 22 Kg/m3), internally reinforced with ‘C section’ profiles in galvanized steel 8/10 mm thick.
Additionally, the panel dimensions and the thickness of the FPI slab can be customized according to the requirements of a specific construction project.
Joining Novacor Wall Panels is fast and easy and does not require specialized labor or custom tools.
The panels are designed with a male-female joint connection. One edge of each panel has a dovetail flange running the length the panel which interlocks with the recessed side of the adjoining panel. This joint creates a rigid and \ secure link between the panels.
The reduced weight of the Novacor Wall Panels ensures easy handling and transportability. Additionally, the lighter weight of the panels allows the structural elements of a building to be designed to carry a greatly reduced deadload as compared to concrete block partition walls — thereby further reducing construction costs.
The Novacor Wall System can achieve several Fire Resistance Ratings depending on the design requirements of a particular building. Novacor walls can be designed to 30, 60 or 120-minute fire resistance ratings
CSB – Calcium Silicate Board
Novacor Wall Panels are clad in CSB (either on one or both sides of a wall). The CSB can be customized for Fire Resistance rating as well as finish extures, colours and designs.
Thermal Insulation
The FPI that the panel is made from provides a high level of thermal insulation which greatly reduces overall heating and cooling costs of the building.
Acoustic Insulation
The homogenous cellular structure of the FPI also dramatically dampens sound wave propagation, making the NovaCor panels ideal for office buildings, condominiums and hotels where the transmission of noise from room to room is of great concern.
